Sacred Land
for the Dying
The Seventh Sense Home for the Dying is a 13-acre property in upstate New York, owned by Death Doula Karen Bellone. The space is designed to provide a peaceful space where individuals can spend their final days in harmony with nature.
We were asked to envision sacred sites to be integrated throughout the property, offering areas for contemplation and engagement with nature.
Our proposal features art installations that work seamlessly within the existing environment, beautification of naturally occurring water features, and earthen forms to foster meditation and remembrance during life’s final chapter.
