Wishing Well
Artist Residency

We developed The Wishing Well as a concept and strategic plan for a creative residency and land conservation project rooted in access, healing, and creative empowerment. Designed as a safe, rural sanctuary, The Wishing Well centers women, 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, and their allies—offering land access, time, and space to reconnect with their creative practice and inner wellspring.

At the heart of the concept is the belief that all people are inherently creative and deserving of environments that support rest, reflection, and artistic exploration. By designing a model that prioritizes care over output, the plan reimagines what a residency can be: a space where personal growth, artistic expression, and community connection naturally unfold.

Strategically, the project weaves creative practice with land stewardship, affirming that the land itself is a partner in the process. Through conservation efforts and regenerative principles, The Wishing Well fosters a deep sense of reciprocity—inviting participants to engage with place not as owners, but as caretakers.

This dual focus—creative sanctuary and ecological commitment—forms the foundation of the project’s long-term vision: to cultivate a sustainable, inclusive, and transformative space where creativity and connection to land can thrive in harmony.
